Inez Wagner was a devoted member of the Temple. She joined the Temple with her family in California and eventually made the trip to Guyana. In Guyana, Inez worked in the education department as one of the Office Staff. Inez had three children that were also Temple members: Michelle Renee Wagner, Leslie Monique Wagner, and Mark Stacey Wagner. Unfortunately, Inez, Mark, and Michelle died at Jonestown on November 18th, 1978. But Leslie, who was 22 at the time, was able to escape Jonestown on the day of the massacre with her 3-year-old son. Leslie lost 11 relatives that day. She lives on today and continues to speak out about the tragedy at Jonestown. Leslie has written a book called Slavery of Faith and was one of the founders of blackjonestown.org. For more about Leslie Wagner click here.
