In the morn. we didn’t have much work.  I finished up loose ends on my F + S journal entries + started to put the Sun entry on MagCard

As Karen Jese, the receptionist, is filling in for Annie Malang as Mr. Johnson’s secretary, for a few days, Betty Vasil asked me to sit at the telephone for an hour or so bef lunch.

Tried to call Lor at her off,  she wasn’t in, so I tried her home, as I know Ryn was expected this week – Ryn ans’d the phone –

Btwn calls I had a convers. w/her – she has a draft of her Ph.D. thesis which Lor is going to help her edit this wk which is Lor’s spring vacation – Today Lor was out w/her 2 grand-children, whom she is taking care of for Rondel – I told Ryn of my work assignm., my raise, + of the weekend at the Te –  I am to go over for dinner Th evening.

The secty supposed to take the noon duty on the telephone had not been informed, so I stayed + answered them – at my lunch + read the paper

Maggie brought in a revision of a Bechtel instruct which had to be put on Mg Cd as a draft – when approved it is for Casper Weinberger’s signature – a very strict form has to be followed and it involved the use of sev. techniques I have not mastered, so I had a great deal of difficulty w/it
